“May your choices reflect your hopes, not your fears” Nelson Mandela
I believe that our thoughts can either move us towards our hopes or keep us stuck in our fears.
Let’s work together to help you discover a new confidence in your ability to make choices that inspire and empower you regardless of your struggles and circumstances. I specialize in working with those dealing with anxiety, depression, grief/loss and abuse issues. I often work with clients who just feel “stuck”.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Pennsylvania and a member of the National Association of Social Workers. I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from Slippery Rock University in 1993. I received my Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania in 2001. I have previously worked in the child welfare system and served as a foster parent in the Lehigh Valley.
At Summit View, I facilitate a monthly women’s empowerment group, Queen of Thyself for 6 years. The group meets the third Saturday of the month from 9-10:30 am. Many of the women who attend are in the process of or considering the option of divorce.
This led to the development of a workshop for women presented by women held several times a year, titled – Everything you Never wanted to know about Divorce but Now have to Ask. The workshop is a collaboration with a local attorney and financial coach to address the emotional, legal, and financial aspects of divorce. This workshop gives women an opportunity to ask questions in a supportive environment for a nominal fee.
In partnering with the Wescoe Foundation for Pulmonary Fibrosis, I facilitate support groups and workshops for patients and caregivers. This experience has given me the opportunity to gain a greater understanding of living with a chronic illness, caregiving, end of life issues and grief.
In July 2022, I completed Smith College’s Advanced Clinical Supervision Certificate program. This year long program offers 52 CEU hours focused on conceptualizing supervision and considering supervisees’ individual learning needs, as well as legal and ethical issues. I offer both individual and group supervision for professionals working towards their LCSW and LPC licenses. Call the to discuss availability and cost.
My practice focuses on personal empowerment with a creative approach. I help clients make decisions based on their core values and building on strengths, so they are able to face their current issues and their past with a new perspective of understanding.
Call and ask how to get started! You deserve to live in a world of Hope.
