Rhonda is a licensed Clinical Social Worker and registered Art Therapist with 30 years of experience working in various different settings including a psychiatric hospital, a residential treatment facility, schools and private group practices. Before earning a Masters Degree in Social Work from Fordham University in 1991, Rhonda earned her Masters Degree in Art Therapy from State College University of Buffalo in 1985. Rhonda works with Adults, children, adolescents and families addressing a variety of concerns including depression, anxiety, PTSD, adjustment issues, grief, chronic illness emotional management and issues negatively impacting self worth/self esteem. One shoe doesn’t fit all and so Rhonda individualizes treatment to meet the unique needs of each client she treats. Modalities may include: CBT, trauma focused therapy, Person Centered therapy, Insight oriented therapy, Emotionally Focused Individual therapy, Mindfulness, Art therapy and Play therapy.
Rhonda has also conducted group therapy for trauma and anxiety issues and has led workshops targeted to help children and adolescents adjust and manage the emotional impact of living with a chronic illness.
