I received my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Dickinson College in 1980 and received a Masters of Science Degree in Clinical and Counseling Psychology from Chestnut Hill College in 2006.
I have completed internships at Jewish Family Services and Lehigh Valley Adolescent Transitions. I have worked as a Mental Health Treatment Specialist in a School Based Partial Hospitalization Program since 2006 and as an Outpatient Therapy Counselor since 2012
I have extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and adults and their families for the past 25 yeas. I specialize in depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, relationship issues, conflict resolution, social skill building, trauma, strength building, and impulse control related issues.
In my life experience, I have discovered that we all possess the tools necessary for growth and healing. The secret of change lies within all of us. We all have the knowledge and power to make healthy choices and facilitate wellbeing, self -control, and positive growth. Each one of us is unique and deserving of living a full, satisfying, and productive life.
I utilize CBT, ACT, Mindfulness, Self Exploration and Disclosure, the use of positive affirmation, self -monitoring, feedback, strength building, problem solving, active listening and a variety of other techniques to guide and facilitate growth and change.
