Nikida is a Pennsylvania Licensed Social Worker and a member of the Pennsylvania Society of Clinical Social Workers. She earned her Bachelor of Social Work from Lock Haven University in 2007 and a Master’s in Social Work from Marywood University in 2011. Firmly rooted in social work, she places an emphasis on inner strengths, advocacy, the importance of human relationships, and the dignity and worth of a person.
Nikida has worked with various clients from diverse backgrounds across a multitude of different settings. She has experience within child welfare, hospital, community mental health, and school settings. She primarily works with children/adolescents, adults, and families. Nikida has a client-centered, solution focused approach to her practice. She assists clients to make positive life changes in order to keep moving forward towards life goals.
Nikida specializes in mood disorders, behavior modification techniques, crisis management, and family therapy.
Nikida also offers Attachment Based Family Therapy informed therapy. This emotion-focused approach of family therapy is geared towards adolescents who are depressed and/or suicidal. The goal is to rebuild relationships within the family dynamic in order to obtain an emotionally secure parent-child attachment.
