I am a Licensed Social Worker, graduating with MSW degree and honors from Winthrop University. Throughout my 24- year professional career, I have worked across many diverse settings including within the mental health field, child welfare system, the Drug/alcohol treatment field, the department of corrections, the human services arena, the alternative/special education educational setting, clinical therapy and Administration for therapeutic after school services and clinical therapy.
I have extensive experience working with children, adolescence, adults, families and couples. I specialize in working with individuals who have experienced trauma, symptoms of anxiety, grief/loss, mood disorders, and individuals who are adjusting to life transitions. For the past fifteen years, I have also studied a myriad of alternative healing modalities, receiving certifications from Mindfulness Schools and Academy of Wisdom and Illuminations of Light Inc.
I am here to work with clients to support with dealing with their life transitions, as well as, whatever is in the way of them living their fullest and most joyful life experience. Throughout my clinical work with clients, I have witnessed the tremendous strength, wisdom and resiliency of the human spirit. Regardless of the challenge, I believe that when we are given the tools and methods to move through the intensity of emotions that can surface, not only do we become empowered, but our inner truth emerges. From this place, we are more able to connect with joy and wholeness, living a more balanced experience.
