Licensed Professional Counselor
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Pennsylvania.
I completed my ungraduate degree in Psychology at Wilkes University and obtained my Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Kutztown University.
I participated in an internship program at Kutztown University Counseling Services, providing Solution-Focused/Brief therapy to university students, focusing on depression, anxiety, adjustment, mindfulness, and development of strengths.
For the past several years, I worked in community mental health providing individual therapy to individuals with a variety of clinical disorders including depression, anxiety, psychosis and mood disorders. I also have provided neurocognitive therapy and have experience working with individuals with traumatic brain injuries, acquired brain injuries, and other neurological disorders.
My focus as a therapist is most importantly person-centered and strength-based. I believe by exploring a person’s strengths and values they become empowered to make the changes they wish to make. Often client’s report feeling “stuck”. I believe with a non-judgmental setting, a person can learn they have the potential for growth and healing that they may not have thought possible.
